What comes to mind first when you hear Public School? For me; crowded hallways, children, notebooks,  and fashion. Clearly the guys behind the Public School NYC label think of  a more upscale version. One that includes high quality fabrics being transformed into luxury basics and streetwear items for men. The brand is proud to say they source fabrics from across the globe, but when it comes time to sew, everything is done in NYC . Pretty dope stuff for the trend setting mister. Montreal Fashion Week Fav: Ralph Leroy

Monday, February 4th, kicked off Montreal's 24th fashion week. Sometimes I find shows becoming slightly mundane , all taking a rather traditional approach. Not Ralph Leroy , and that is why I adore his presentation ! He designed a  collection of well cut suits for men and women as well as  suede and leather day wear. His finale was brilliant  with a European vs Haitian dance-off. The beauty of the two dance forms was quite the show closer.

Tokyo FW Favs: Nitz Scheider

I love the camo print combo shown in Nitz Scheider's collection. The super cute  S/S 2013 collection inspired me this morning. What are we thinking ?

Men's fashion can be tricky.I'm not fond of when designers create feminine looks for a man. Designers like Steven Alan, keep the man in mind while creating . Alan's inspiration for this season was Eric Rohmer's 1971 film Claire's Knee. He illustrated his inspiration through lightweight separates done in silk cottons, chambray and linen.
