Mens Lookbook Love: Laurence Airline's Koutoukou Collection

I have a real love and respect for all brands and designers that support Africa and stimulating their economy. Sometimes people get so caught up in the materialistic side/ image of the fashion industry, they neglect the opportunities that could be created. When one looks at the facts, this industry creates millions of jobs around the wold yearly. While I have yet to visit the beautiful continent of Africa, I see so much beauty, pride and culture in pieces created by the native designers. Laurence Chauvin-Buthaud is one of those individuals. . .

It was emerging African designers like Maatano, Maki Oh and Mafi that made me really want to start writing on my own  platform. It is my passion to tell the tales behind the label and I wanted to handpick each individual I wrote about. Brands like Laurence Airline add depth to their creations by empowering local hands to help produce their collections. Not only is this line a helping hand in the community they also value sustainable  development of the garments. Fantastic, I couldn't be more on board .
