Welcome to Haute Hemisphere! Home to creative minds, their dreams and a network I like to refer to affectionately as InD Nation. Before we get to that, let me share a little about myself. First, I am Taila, currently three months shy of my 25th birthday; shout out to team Capricorn. I have grown up with a passion for fashion magazines and writing stories. When I used to dream of my future, it always involved encouraging independent designers to be great. Born into a family of workaholics, I have worked since 14, found the first strand of my passion at 16 and dove into retail until December of last year when I finished my undergraduate studies at UNC Greensboro. After six years in North Carolina, and a handful of lessons for life, I received my B.S. in Fashion Merchandising. A year later, I am seeking certificate programs in Interior Design Studies. This blog is my honest attempt at living my purpose. Everything I preach and promote on Haute Hemisphere is from my heart.
When it comes to fashion and design, I appreciate the hussle the designer went through to reveal their work to the world. I will search the world for exquisite talent and unforgettable creators I so affectionately refer to as “InD Nationers”. This blog is meant to be a resource for the international creative network. Use the comments to ask questions and share your opinions, or shoot me an email to suggest new topics of interest. Aside from turning my blog into an international online publication in the future, I also dream of launching my own accessory line. Journey with me, as I build my foundation, learn from others, and reach levels I never dreamed of. My hope is you will be doing the same.
Now, Back to the Nation. Here is a breakdown of the Blog:
InD Nation. (Pronounced Indie Nation) is use repeatedly in reference to the emerging/independent fashion and arts community that has had my heart since childhood. Haute Hemisphere‘s goal is to Educate, Inspire and Encourage all eyes that read it to be great. The blog is broken down into a few categories to give a glimpse into my personal passions, those I admire, and suggestions for those pursuing their own dreams. Each section tells a different story of pursuing a passion in the area of the arts.
