  • I've been buried in books this week.

On a scale of 1-10, how motivated are you feeling this week to reach your dreams? Every week I find myself slipping into my creativeneur shoes more and more. Be it through sketching out ideas for my future jewelry line, putting time in on the business plan, or pocketing money for shoes instead for my website design costs. The more my vision becomes a reality, the more I find myself becoming a young business woman. I've made it mandatory that I read one book a week, with various browsing and side research on the side. It keeps me focused and constantly churning out new ideas I want to implement as I build my line. Since we are in this together, I have a few titles to offer you this week that offer guidance on a relationship with money and your talents when you are in a creative field.

Make Money Your Honey: A Spirited Entrepreneur's Guide to Having a Love Affair with Work and Money by Amanda Abella

You, Inc. The Art of Selling Yourself by Harry Beck with and Christine K Clifford

These books are great confidence boosters that get you thinking about your craft and the part of yourself you are selling in each creation you make. Handmade businesses's (which my jewelry will be) put a piece of themselves into every creation sold. As the artisan you want to be in touch with who you are as a person and as a brand. Remember your brand is your story.Do your research, external and internal, to ensure you are not short changing your vision, your business, or your clients.

My creations are an extension of me, as well as my business, and the details make up the biggest picture. Pay attention to all areas of your business, read these books and others to  get your wheels turning on how to capture your message and talents. Then shoot me an email so I can tell the world about your brand :).

What are you reading these days to get your mind ready to launch your passion project? Share them with me below.

I'll have to add these titles to my reading list!
Actually right now, I'm reading a really incredible book, 'The Rose Labyrinth' by: Titania Hardie and I did not expect so much of me to be revealed through this novel. It's so amazing and compelling to the point that I believe this book chose me and I'm reading it at a perfect time in my life. Also, gradually, I am reading 'The Success Principles: Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be' by: Jack Canfield.

I can't wait to hear more about your jewelry line! I love handmade pieces.

    Thanks for the recommendations!
