I have a huge heart for designers. . .
Hint - me launching this blog is evidence of this. I never get sick of stumbling upon new talent, and telling others about them. The other day I got to thinking about the different categories of designers. There are visionaries for accessories, apparel, shoes, and then I remembered the beloved textile designers. These folks are often the least talked about designers. When you think about it though, fashion truly starts with the textile designer who can visualize fabric colors and patterns.
My mom, cousin and I visited the The Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philly a few summers ago and I fell in love with the idea of creating and altering your own fabric. The idea faded away for some time, but has come back and got me searching for some designers to look up to once I start on my textile design journey. I stumbled upon Woking Girl Designs, LLC. Their creations have me more excited than ever to learn more. Check out their designs below, and then their site to see more amazingness. I want to start buying fabric for my maxis from textile designers to ensure my creations are original. For all you creators reading this, think of how you can kill the game by creating your own fabric. Look into it ;).
