  • This week has been crazy.
The King and I spent the first half of the week moving into our new apartment (which we LOVVEE) and the second half I have been battling with a pretty serious allergic reaction. Now that all the excitement is dying down, I am eagerly awaiting a weekend where I can get out into our surrounding town and find me a new yoga home.

The more I dive into building my business, the more I find the need for balance and seek out expressive art forms such as belly dancing, yoga, and Pilates. The cold weather has left my bones numb; time to stretch them on out! One of the highlights of my new neighborhood is the access to a handful of yoga studios. While these last few days of winter try to linger, I have happily started building a yoga wear collection. So, I may say I have a "collection" for all of life's occasions, but I feel when working out, your attire is the equivalent to your tools. It's worth an investment.

My usual workout attire is a V neck and some leggings, bare feet for yoga, sneakers for running. When it comes to tights, I prefer to spend a little more, for quality purposes. You don't want to be the girl whose tights spilt during a downward facing dog. My current go to for all yoga wear needs, is YogaOutlet.com. This awesome site is celebrating their first year in business. It carries merchandise from leggings to mats. If you can think it up for a yoga class, they will have it. My first purchase is an awesome pair of tribal leggings for my drop in yoga class this weekend. The fabric is super lightweight and snug, the perfect fit for yoga.

Yoga is a very personal practice, which connects you to a bigger community. Embarking on this spiritual and physical journey balances out my hectic all work no play Capricorn roots. One should be comfortable and confident when working out; clothing choice plays a big part. I plan to build my collection over time, as I grow in the practice, and I will be sure to share all my amazing finds. Share yours with me too! :)

What do you wear to yoga class?
