  • What does purpose look like in action ?

I believe it is an aura, an energy experienced by both the creator and the witnesses. We as consumers always see the end product of someone’s purpose; we never actually see them in the act. As I spend my evenings and weekends, researching and making soap I’ve begun thinking about the energy and passion I put into each recipe. If people could see how many nights I stay up until daybreak, researching new brands or editing the site or my editorial calendar my passion for this industry would never be questioned, because it would be felt.

I want to inspire you as my readers with every post, in some way. I don’t blog to advertise brands, I blog to showcase purpose. To inspire those with dreams, they never tell anyone or those who do. I want to be the friend that pushes you to excel and succeed in area’s you are talented in , but never considered. That’s the plain and simple mission of this blog and I’m constantly thinking of ways to accomplish this. So today I start the first of a new series entitled Caught In Your Craft. This series is dedicated to witnessing a creator in their element. So you are able to feel the passion in their work, and be inspired to find your niche that fits you like purpose. For those of you whom have been reading Haute Hemisphere for a while, you should be familiar with one of my favorite accessories/lingerie lines MAUKE V. Beautiful pieces that merge elements of whimsicalness and edginess resulting in wearable art. When I received my MAUKE V original earrings, I was enthralled by the outstanding quality and love put into the package. The aura was unforgettable as is the designer Maureen Vorswijk , which is why I will be kicking off this series with a look into her creation process.

Check out below as Maureen, creates a ‘ring circle’, ‘Flower Choker’ and the ‘Protect Me Ring’ all from her Afrik & Silver Collection. Get a glimpse into her creation process and be inspired! Her pieces are so lovely, after seeing how their made, I encourage you to check out her site, lots of goodies on there! I’m quite a fan of both the rings she creates below.

    Which piece was your favorite?
