  • Glasses are one of my favorite accessories.

I come from a long line of four eyes :), and until I was in high school, I was the only person in my immediate family with 20/20. Then the blurriness began, the first pair of glasses I ever picked out, looking back now . . were hideous, but we live and we learn. As I grew with glasses, I began to pay attention to others' frames. A pair of glasses can add to or take away from your look. As I learned this, I opted for more squareish frames, in colors that compliment my warm honey completion - burgundy, black, and clear, to name a few. Continuing to learn how to shop for my face, glasses grew to be one of my favorite additions to an outfit.

I get my eyes checked every two years and usually buy a new pair of frames. Mass eye-wear retailers offer great options for clients, but you know me . . I'm all about shopping InD. My first obsession was with Philly's own, Warby Parker, and now I have found another awesome eye wear outlet- Vint & York eye wear. Why have they captured my heart? Aside from being InD and NY based, they are inspired and influenced by the 1920's, a great time for fashion, both apparel and accessories. Vint & York place emphasis on expressing yourself as a right, not a privilege and therefore design eye wear in high-quality acetate that’s as durable as it is stylish. The best part, the prices.

Do you see these styles? Not sure which is the best fit for your face? Vint & York offer a Frame Trial option where you are able to choose up to 5 five frames from their vast selection of styles, try them on and pick your favorite. Don't get me wrong, I love a designer pair of frames as much as the next fashionista. . . the majority of mine are, but life is about variety, my next pair will surely be Vint &York. . .

The Killa, Hell K and Swell are holding my interest as a next pair; what about you?
