Stories of a Soap Stylist: This Week's To Do List

I'm feeling pretty blessed.

Rome was not built over night, and neither will the Taila.Made empire/brand. I'm cool with that, and enjoying every minute of the process. . even the uncertainty and confusion. It's all necessary for success.

Sunday was spent business brainstorming, reviewing the first lessons of my natural skincare formulation certification class and taking some photos for the Taila.Made  website. Very productive. I got some great shots I'm excited to upload as well as some great inspiration for a few new formulations. Taila.Made is every much my ethereal creative outlet. Perhaps it's that I'm an earth sign, or that I have grown up with a mother that exposed me to gardening and alternative wellness routes from a young age that keeps me longing to be among the energy of the wild.

Nature, very much soothes my spirit and gets my wheels turning, so snapping away with my Mr. was just the fuel my inner fire needed to get ready for the Second Saturday event held this weekend in my town. Second Saturdays were created in order to stimulate the creative community. I am lucky to have moved right into the center of a creative loving crowd who is always looking for ways to get people out to support local artisans.

After the first vending opportunity Taila.Made  attended I am really excited for the next. I make it my goal to get better each time and am using my first few events as a means of fundraising for the company. This time I will try some new visuals when setting up my table, as well as bringing more of a selection for those, dealing with the seasons changing and their skin being caught in the middle.

This week will be spent creating a handful of soaps, cutting, packaging and labeling them all in love as well as updating all my financials on the new materials purchased. I will also be creating my inventory documents of the product that will be used during the event. Once I get the majority of my inventory ready, I will then refocus back to building my website. I have the hosting site and domain already handled and now am enjoying every moment of building the website. ( I'll keep you posted)

Launching Taila.Made has pushed me to challenge myself in new ways, such as obtaining a certificate in professional web design so I am able to really see my creative vision through from start to finish as well as help other creatives in the future bring their dreams to life. You know me. . all about prospering in purpose. Taila.Made is my baby, and I spend a good majority of the day thinking on ways to grow her.

Entrepreneurship is such a unique journey. You go through a series of phases, as you grow personally and professionally and it is quite soul strengthening. I find myself constantly reading, praying, brainstorming, creating, and repeating this process. . I'm on a sincere mission to provide simple natural skincare solutions for those waging war with dry, sensitive or problem skin. Everyday I research and find new oils and herbs to add to my formulas to help soothe inflamed patches and bring your beautiful skin back to the surface. We are in this together my loves. If I have my way- we will all love the skin were in. Well, my 20 mins of rest is up. . back to the grind. I'll check in Saturday to update you on the vending opportunity. If you are around the Collingswood  area, come check out and support Taila.Made  and all the other awesome crafters that will be vending during Second Saturday. I'd love to see ya!

I'm right there with you! I started soapmaking three years ago and selling at markets/fairs this year. It's tough to break through, but people are starting to LOVE our products. Feels good!
