  • How was your weekend?

Mine was just what I needed. Quality time with my Mr. doing the things we love to do. Always a blessed weekend for me. Starting with a quiet Friday evening into Saturday afternoon, we ventured into Philly for a little to support the creativeprenuer's vending at the American Dreaming Building's event Philly's First Beauty Bazaar. What an inspirational event. One step in the door and my eyes were flooded with tee shirt's branded with purpose, handmade adornments, and natural skincare options. Every element a true queen adores shopping for herself!

I get such energy seeing young kings and queens in their element, selling their handmade creations. Now that I have participated in my own vending opportunity for my own brand, I have an increased awareness and appreciation for my fellow creativeprenuers. A few of the favorite brands that I have to shout out for you all to go support include my beloved Beads by Aree which we have chatted about previously, Rag Dollz Collective, YogaWildflower , Gurlification, King Rule Together, also previously supported via the blog, and Anu Rock & Metal jewelry. I really enjoyed each of the listed tables and believe you will fall in love with their awesome products,. So go check them out!

I was impressed by all the creatives in attendance, especially Yolanda of Yoga Wildflower, her soaps.. . smell amazing, and she is a certified yoga instructor! A queen after my own heart. . I hope to learn from her as she is a fellow soap maker (and we know I'm always looking for soap friends) and she has a glowing spirit. I could feel the love she puts into her products and I hope to one day attend her yoga classes, and perhaps venture into the practice far enough to become certified. Anyone located in the Philadelphia/ South Jersey area looking to embrace a yoga journey - I very much recommend checking out her site.

I was able to learn a little more about her purpose and what led her to launch her natural skincare products officially during the Bazaar. The former makeup artist revealed to me the following . . in her words; " I got into yoga to help deal with being diagnosed with Lupus. It made such a difference in my life both physically and mentally, I took a teacher training to become certified to teach and help others who like me, may have been searching for ways to cope with the curve balls of life. I became more conscious about the way I lived my life, the shows I watched, music I listened to, foods I ate, and beauty and skincare products I used. I had been wearing my hair natural for ten plus years and always made "kitchen concoctions" to tend to my tresses. After researching and learning about all the unnecessary chemicals found in everyday commercial products (like soap and deodorant) and the adverse effects they have on our bodies as well as our planet, my concoctions started to have more of a purpose." Alas Yoga Wildflower was conceived. Nothing like purpose, to put you on your path to prosperity!

Her final thoughts truly stuck with me . .as I felt like I was talking to myself. . "I take pride in all of my products and like to think that my customers can feel the love and dedication I put into each item. If you notice each label has the slogan Embrace Elevate Evolve. This has been my life's philosophy-in all things, Embrace where you are (we are all a work in progress); Elevate your self-esteem (because if you don't believe in you who will); and watch yourself Evolve into your greatest self (you'll see it when you believe it). My dream is to have my products in boutique and wellness stores, and expand my line to include baby bath items, yoga apparel and accessories...maybe a flagship store that doubles as a yoga studio. At this point my possibilities are endless!" Her peaceful spirit is such a pleasure to be around, I look forward to learning more from her in the future!
The weekend was so good to me, and now it is Monday. Let's not get caught up on the day my loves; let's just put in work for the future and appreciate the present. I encourage you to do something for your business today, that gets you closer to a vending opportunity tomorrow. Share with me what you're working on below or shoot me an email. Creativesprenuers, always need a network.

    Let's build team. . . . Happy Monday.
