Home Decor Details: The Pendleton Blanket

When I was 17 working at Marshalls, a customer passed along the knowledge that while I was younger I would shop for clothes but as I got older it would change from clothes to home decor. The lady wasn't lying! On a daily basis my thoughts jump from fashion, to interior design back to fashion and finish with food. I'm hardwired for this industry :) .

With me and my hunni's move on my mind, I have been searching and shopping for little things for our future home. My first must have for the family room . . after furniture of course, a Pendleton Blanket. A dear sweet friend of mine, told me about the brand  two years ago and I am just now getting around to obsessing over them.

 

The family owned company has been in the textile business for 150 years, crafting luxury fabrics into clothing and home decor. The 100% virgin wool used in the blankets keep  you coming back. I admire the family's commitment to perfecting their craft, and the designs seen on the blankets are breathtaking.

 Awesome colors, sweet patterns, and warm moments to the individuals wrapped in them. I am looking for a few as I think a Native American inspired blanket would look awesome hung on a wall like a tapestry. Yayyy for great home decor!

Our Place: Inspiration Office

As my manfriend and I prepare to move into our first place together, I find myself on Pinterest more than ever researching nifty storage and design ideas. Aside from our move, I have always had a fascination with interior design. My first dream career was an architect until I learned of all the math involved. So a fashion merchandising degree later I am considering a certificate in interior design. We will see about all of that, in the meantime I am building my handy girl do it yourself binder for me and my hunni's future home.

On this rainy Thursday, I find myself dreaming of my future home office. A place for my creative spirit to dwell and create.If I am not at my 9-5, I am at home working on some sort of side project.My creativity never sleeps, nor do I. Moving into our first place is exciting all itself, but it is also the first time I am able to create a home, start to finish. Home is where my heart is, hints why I'm starting with my work space. Pinterest has me on  a mission to create a perfect minimalistic yet inspiring space to house my jewelry designing, sewing space, and blog business. Here's a look at my favorite spaces so far.
