Bring It Back:RUN D.M.C for Adidas

A few weeks ago, I told my boyfriend about wanting the old school Adidas track suit. So you can imagine my excitement  that RUN D.M.C is collaborating with Adidas. Bringing back the classic staple that screams. . . CHILL . The lineup is looking like the newest addition to my closet . Shout out to Nice In Harlem's blog, where I peeped it first :). Show him love and peep his page for more flyness such as this.

Cropped With Culture: LLulo

Culture plays a major part in fashion,in my opinion. Designers  are often inspired in some way by their heritage and significant events within their community. For example, I grew up in a household where mom was Queen and dad was King and we celebrated Kwanzaa. Beautiful tapestries and paintings of jazz musicians and African art resides on the interior walls of my home, thus I am attracted to the same elements in my style.

Vintage Mens Vibe: Community 54

There are two kinds of guys; one gets dressed, and the other wears clothes. If you are blessed with a stylish eye, you probably rarely or have never noticed those that wear clothes. I'm keeping it real.

The Message Is The Concept: Acrylick Clothing

Fact about Taila, I like words, I've been a bookworm all my life. I'm attracted to words that stand out to the eye, similar with me and fashion. Let me give you some examples, gypsy , bohemian, intellectual. Akrylick . . . looks hot, right? The story behind the word,is just as cool.

Calling All KLOZET JUNKEEZ !!

It was the name that caught my attention at first, Klozet Junkeez.  The spelling is different and I thought that was pretty cool. I ventured through more pictures via Instagram and when curiosity began to kill this cat, I ventured onto the site. I was greeted by the brand's blog (and was impressed they shouted out Capital Steez (RIP) ) and after scrolling through to get an idea of what was hot to them, it was time to shop the store.

LA Vibes: Grand Come Up

I'm on a mission for graphic tees and hoodies for my chill days. I think we can all agree, the colder it gets the more layers needed, so why not throw on something with character. Grand Come Up has a great selection of cool tees great for layering under sweaters, hoodies or blazers. Unfortunately ladies, we don't have the biggest selection as of now, but I would love to add the two pullovers and crop tops to my collection. Grand Come Up is an upcoming skateboard/street-wear brand out of LA. Launched in February of this this year, the brand / online boutique carries only the best from elite brands such as OBEY, Crooks and Castles, and Primitive. A good tee is always necessary in one's wardrobe.

Premium Artwear: DNTN Brand

My indie Philly hunt continues and today I give to you Premium Artwear, DNTN Brand. This Philly based label is doing big things, as they have previously done a pop up shop in Status Shop and will be doing a winter release event November 17th. Being big on the artwear movement, I feel like it brings a different dimension to the fashion scene. Take a look at some of their designs, everything DNTN is sick . Under the creative direction of Don Scott, each season the styles get doper. The first DNTN Brand pop up shop is located in Philadelphia's University City 3808 Lancaster Ave Philadelphia PA 19104. Follow them on FB and Twitter to keep up with their movements

For My Mens: The African King

I have a Queen's mentality. The idea that we have come from Kings and Queens is very real to me. We all have that potential.  As with most titles, it is only given to those who represent the word. Merriam Webster defines a King as "One that holds a preeminent position; a chief among competitors." To be a king is not a position, it is a lifestyle, and every lifestyle has its own way of dress. The African King is all about a King mentality, the African/American inlfuenced line represents every aspect of  being a King. Printed pocket tees and tanks are just the beginning. Kings aren't always born into riches; some  aquire them on the path to the throne.
