Indie talent is my personal inspiration. Be it local or international, the passion expressed by those working day and night to reach lifelong dreams of creative ventures is beyond admirable. Events that showcase this kind of talent are the ones I want to attend, that's why I was so sad I was unable to make the invite only Sol Afrik fashion showcase September 21st at the Rush Art Galleries in New York.
The presentation showcased six global designers and their unique creative perspectives. Sol Afrik was the first of its kind to exclusively showcase couture, contemporary, and ready to wear fashions by international designers. Shout out to all of the gorgeous models who walked in the show. Told you Kyle Sterling and Suzy Abunamba were faces to watch! Sol Afrik put on quite the event with shows from Elizabeth Azadi, Blackbird Jeans, Esosa E, Kibonen NY, Siwel Accessories, and Nyanga Creations. Here are some pictures from the event.
