Madrid FW Favs: Maria Lafuente

Happy Friday! Visually, we are in Madrid on Maria Lafuente's runway taking witness to her breathtaking Fall/Winter 13/14 collection Element. Lafuente sought inspiration in the use of her skills and dreams. She  used  recycled materials, from the windows of the Royal Glass Factory , and transformed them into architectural forms, natural and artistic mini sculptures that integrate one by one in all of the pieces in the ELEMENT collection.

As ode to architectural silhouettes ,circulars and the  great Niemeyer, fluid and comfortable shape models  were created through technological and natural fabrics like wool, silk, tulle and lace with the intensity of red, garnet, coral, and shrimp hued makeup and garments. I love how strong the color palette is in this collection . What are your thoughts my dears?
