  • The greatest challenge one faces when bringing their dream to life, is raising capital. Obtaining money for your venture is a phase that will show you just how hard your willing to go to make it manifest. There is a sense of beauty in the grunt work, especially once you reach your goal. Kickstarter, an online funding site for creative projects, since inception in 2009  has helped  fund 52,000 creative projects. That's 52,000 dreams brought to life!
When a creator works with Kickstarter they are given a certain amount of time to raise a funding goal . If the goal is reached in the block of 30 days, or whatever the agreed time period, the innovator can keep and use the money for his start up. I love everything about kickstarter.

Now for a little story about Woody Hines, and his company Hillflint. His company launched a Kickstarter campaign yesterday to market and sell a plain, varsity-inspired, and genuinely luxurious crew neck sweater. In 12 hours, they have already raised over $10,000. You have til December 18 to contribute to this project, every dollar counts.I just checked the site, Hillflint has already exceeded their goal! That's what I like to see.

The sweaters are made with nearly 1.5 pounds of super soft 100% extra-fine grade Australian Merino wool and sell for just $85. Cut slimmer to avoid the frumpy muffin-effect of most sweaters and with a less elastic waistband to prevent the sweater from riding up the body with movement. I love them, and want one! These swearers are  a great gift idea for my hunni and yours too! Click here to check out the Hillflint project. Be inspired by Woody's passion and hard work, I was. Then donate whatever you feel in your heart. I sure will be.

Gooo Hillflint Gooo!!! Haute Hemisphere is rooting for you :).
