Fash + Tech: Google Glass collab with Ray-Ban and Oakley

So, word on the street is. . .


Google Inc. is partnering with Luxottica Group SpA, parent company to brands such as Ray-Ban and Oakley, to help them get Google Glass into the hands of everyday people.  One of my fav blogs BoF brought this news to my attention . Google has been working on collaborations that show potential clients the numerous advantages of using Glass, but the best way to reach the masses in my opinion is fashion. 

Google agrees, and made a statement about the future collaboration,“Luxottica has built an impressive history over the last 50 years designing, manufacturing and distributing some of the most successful and well-known brands in eye wear today,” Astro Teller, the head of Google X, the lab where Glass was first developed, said in the statement. “We are thrilled to be partnering with them as we look to push Glass and the broader industry forward into the emerging smart eye wear market.” 

I can't wait to see the styles they come up with. Would you buy a pair ?
