They say do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life.
I've believed that old saying since I was young, which probably speaks to my "Proper In Purpose" philosophy. Since launching my blog I have learned so much about myself and where my purpose and strengths lie. Blogging is a job- whether you are paid or not to do it. I find great joy in showcasing bloggers who not only blog but are also business owners, be it their blog or another extension of themselves, such as Bethany Grow of Love Grows Design.
As I seek my place and what I have to give to this world, I am always inspired by those who are steps ahead of me. Take Bethany, owner of Love Grows Design, as an example. She offers design services for creatives looking to develop an amazing brand identity. Her blog is home to invaluable knowledge regarding branding for one's creative venture. If reading all the info she has to give is not enough, she offers design packages to help other creativeprenuers businesses flourish. She is awesome and I'm excited to share a little more of her story and knowledge with you all. Support her and Love Grows Design by heading over to check out her blog. You'll love it.
1.Give us a glimpse into the Love Grows Design world, what is your overall mission as founder?
My goal as a creative entrepreneur is to use my talents and abilities to help others do what they love. I'm so lucky to be able to do what I love for a living and I want to share that joy with other creative ladies by not only offering my design services to make their business shine, but also empowering them and giving them the clarity and confidence they need to go out on their own and share their passion. I'm so lucky that I get to work with such wonderful and motivated women that are ready to go out and live their dream!
2. What keywords would you use to describe your blog? What type of knowledge do you share?
I actually have three brand words that I feel perfectly apply to my blog- Passion, Growth, and Creativity. I'm all about sharing the lessons I've learned and helping others grow their own creative businesses. I regularly share tips on running a business, organizing your blog, staying creative, and sharing your passion! I love the community that has formed on the blog as we all share what we've learned and what works for us and how we're continuing to grow. It's like we creative ladypreneurs are all sitting together at the cafe chatting about our passions, the work we've enjoyed, and the lessons we've learned along the way!
5. Name 4 characteristics you believe are necessary to start and grow your own business as a creative.
Passion
Determination

3. Tell us about your company, Love Grows Design, what services do you offer?
I'm all about offering unique branding for creative ladypreneurs and passionate bloggers! I love doing what I love for a living and my goal is to help other ladies do the same by creating a beautiful image that they can house their wonderful products and services in. I focus on creating a consistent and clear brand experience regardless of whether you are a small hobby blogger or a growing creative business. This includes curating the perfect color palette that expresses their desired mood, designing the logo, creating accompanying pieces like patterns and accents, making their business cards, creating their website, designing for their social media, and so much more! I aim to give my clients a consistent look for every aspect of their business.
4. What lessons have you learned about yourself and entrepreneurship since launching your design company?
One of the toughest lessons I've had to learn is about learning from my frustrations rather than getting fed up. While I am doing what I love, it's still very hard work and it can get really frustrating especially when working with clients who are difficult. I've had to learn not to get angry or stressed out, but rather to keep careful notes on what I can learn from each and every client I work with whether they are my perfect client or not. This always leads to better things for my business, like making a worksheet that will help me stay more on top of things or improving my communication processes or creating guides to help them through the design. There's always so much to learn when running your own business- it never ends! By learning instead of getting frustrated, I've enjoyed working with my clients so much more and I've learned ways to avoid these frustrations in the future!
