Look books are just as powerful visually to me as magazines. I enjoy reviewing them both for the story that is communicated through the clothing, and the photography. Denim companies tend to have pretty awesome campaigns each season, which I always love to check out. I'll spend a pretty penny on denim because I believe you get what you pay for, quality wise. We are the country of blue genes and I take the quality seriously.
Dowan Harrell, creative director and denim genius, nails it every season. The fall 13' collection is no different. I see quite a few gift ideas for my hunni. Guys, what are you expecting to add to the closet?
As a self proclaimed spokeswoman for good denim across the globe, I fully support a PRPS collection being started in every closet. A Male Perspective: Four Seasons Style Management
My sophomore year of college, as a fashion merchandising student, I had to take a course on the psychology of dress. That was probably my favorite class that semester. I loved learning about why people shopped, purchased, and dressed as they did. Style is not a perfect science but it is one that speaks volumes about an individual.
A lot of people don't appreciate spending a few extra dollars and minutes on your appearance. Remember, you only get one first impression with anyone; your future spouse, boss, business partner, or client. You should always take a few extra minutes to incorporate elements into your look that make you feel comfortable, as well as confident.
