This morning, I have been so inspired by collections from the Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive, shown August 2012. Lakme Fashion Week is India's most prestigious fashion and trade event, entering it's second decade .The Deepika Govind show was all about paying tribute to the Patola pattern from Patan. Silhouettes infused single and double ikats with silks and satins in bold hues and textures. I especially loved the Sari's which were home to fun motifs such as cars, fruits, planes etc. Deepika's collection was one of beauty and tradition with a hint of extra spice.
