Happy first day of spring! I know Fall is super far away but Istanbul's fashion week Fall/Winter 13/14 shows have me sort of excited. Couldn't be happier to have stumbled upon Turkish designer Arzu Kaprol.
I'm all about menswear collections that make men look like men, so I appreciated the male distinction in the pieces. Muted burgundys and navy beanies brought an artisan aura to the masculine pairings of blazers, corduroys and dress shoes.
Kaprol's women's collection was abstract in silhouette and played with lighter and heavier fabric weights. All in all, I dig the hipster vibe. His presentation plays out as follows: I'm walking down a busy street, drowning in a sea of faces and bland fashions, then finding light on those with impeccable textile taste. . aka Studio Kaprol.
